Naomi Twigg is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Medicine. She completed her PhD in Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012 and worked for several years in academia and research.

While serving on the faculty at UIC, Dr. Twigg was recognized as one the top nurses in Illinois with the receipt of the 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders award in 2016. Dr. Twigg started practicing at Quintessential Care in 2020 after completing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Rush University. Dr. Twigg believes the delivery of quality health care involves effective communication, coordination of care, and collaboration with the patient’s health care team.

Should you require tests, the following are conveniently available in our office:
Electrocardiograms

Electrocardiograms (EKG or ECG) are used to evaluate the heart’s electrical system. They assist in diagnosing irregular heart rhythms and can offer clues to the presence of blockages in the heart’s blood supply. EKGs take just a few minutes to perform and are available in our office.

Lab

Blood and urine tests help to diagnose a multitude of conditions and are also used to guide therapy. Samples for most tests can be collected in our office and are sent out to a reference lab. Select tests such as the hemoglobin A1C, which measures average blood sugar; Prothrombin time (PT) to monitor blood coagulation; cholesterol; and liver and kidney tests may be performed in our office.
